Quality Snowshoes

Maggie's kittens at 9 weeks. In the back is elusive Honest Abe, a.k.a. Spook, and below left to right are Hillary and Teddy Bear.
Goldi's babies at one month. No names yet, just irresistable faces!

Three kittens were born to Maggie on Presidents Day, and five kittens to Goldi are now one month old. I am at a crossroads with my cattery at this point in time and need to make some changes because of aging breeders, or I may stop breeding these beautiful kittens altogether. So, at the current time, two of the older kittens are not available at this time. I am going to show them at a cat show in Alabama in June. There may be some trading with other breeders as a result. I may also choose to keep one of the males for my own program to replace the male I retired this year. Goldi's kittens are also going to the show with me as an exhibit. When I return from the show, what I have left will become available. However, I can't show the high-white, Hillary, so she will be available next week. You'll find her and some of the others on the Available Adults and Kittens page.

It looks like Goldi has again produced at least one chocolatepoint solid and three sealpoint solids, so please Read In Defense of the Solid Snowshoe at the end of the page the Available page, and enjoy the 2011 gallery while you're there!

I will update again after the cat show.

The original Snowshoe comes from the traditional, classic Siamese and a domestic shorthair, and is recognized by many cat associations as a distinct and separate breed. There are only a handful of Snowshoe breeders in the United States, and I am among those committed to advancing this smart, personable, and most remarkable breed.

PurrPoints Cattery is committed to producing quality Snowshoe kittens.

My Mom is 95 years old. She has Alzheimer's/Dementia and is wheelchair-bound. For as long as possible, I lived with and took care of her, as did my three housepets, Frankie (solid Snowshoe), Ferdie (Siamese), and Moondancer (Oriental Shorthair). I know in my heart that if it were not for the cats, she would have been lost to us mentally a lot sooner. She loved the cats and looked forward to giving them a warm lap daily!!

Sorry, Frankie, you'll have to wait your turn!
